What can happen when men hear a truth, consider what it may require of them, and then do it? Revival happens! It is so refreshing to see people who have made up their minds to be doers of the word rather than hearers only. This past event in Tulsa was all about figuring out what it means to be men who live by truth. The Bible says that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. It also says we can know the truth and the truth shall make us free. So what does it mean to live by truth. We found that each of us have a tendency to read the Bible, hear the truth and then actually begin to rationalize why that truth may or may not apply to us. For instance, the Bible says that if we refuse to forgive another, then we our -selves remain un-forgiven. It also says that if we live in a state of un-forgiveness, it is like walking in the dark. As these men considered this truth, they began to confess un-forgiveness they had against certain people. As the Holy Spirit used this truth, along with their willingness to apply it, I witnessed men asking for each other's forgiveness through tears and openly receiving God's forgiveness for holding resentment towards others. If we want to see the world around us change, we must change. It is easy to sit back and evaluate the condition of our culture and point out all that is wrong. It is much more difficult to lay on your face before the Lord and ask him to kill every part of you that is not from him and give you the courage to apply the Truth to your life, even if it hurts. You can buy hundreds of books online about God's promises and they will all describe and site the blessing of God in response to obedience. None of them will describe or site the other promises of God that are the result of disobedience. The bible said that in the last days we would gather up a bunch of teachers that would tell us what we want to hear. Look around at the most popular Christian literature and big name preachers. They have told the people what they want to hear. Consider this! In the service of the King, Todd and Leslie
