Hi Family,
We have had some tech problems the last week so I haven’t
been able to keep you in the loop. Thank you for staying hooked up in
prayer. The trip to New York last weekend was amazing as the Lord
refreshed me with a renewed sense of how he will use us as we step out
in his service.
It was my first trip to the Big Apple and it was all I expected. A huge
city with lots of frantic people going here and there. I was surprised
however about how we were received. It was like we had stepped out of
the pages of history and we were clothed in all the glory of our
heritage. The American Cowboy is still seen by many as somewhat of a
heroic group of men. Our men were invited to appear on most of the big
talk shows and even had the privilege of ringing the bell to open the
stock market. We had Mayer Guliani as a guest to our event and he even
gave me a few moments of his time as he inquired as to what my role is
in the PBR. It was nice to see us as a sport being received with such
dignity. I pray the Lord guards us from alloying the influence we have
to ever be used for anything but his Kingdom purposes. To God be the
glory. Influence is a dangerous thing but it is also a glorious thing
when used by the Holy Spirit. Many of these men are still showing the
world how masculinity can be best lived out when it is in right
relationship with the Father. Masculinity and Christ likeness are
synonymous.
This weekend I will be in Massachusetts for the PBR and we will hold our
outreach service on Sun. at 10:00 AM. Pray for this work as we continue
to take an offensive approach to ministry.
In the service of the King,
Todd
