Nampa Update |

We had a great time in Nampa. Colton, Tanner and I had three full days of travel and ministry/ socializing. I don't have a whole lot out of the ordinary to report but I do have a neat story.
Four or five years ago in the same arena we were just at, I prayed with a young lady as she turned her wreck of a life over to the Lordship of Jesus. One of the first issues at hand was for her marriage to be saved. Well, it was saved and now she and her husband are flourishing in nearly every way. This past weekend she and her husband were with me again in Nampa, and this time they were there as a couple in ministry. The whole reason for the trip was their desire to now share what Jesus is doing through the PBR with a couple who was in need of the same transformation they had experienced. Following our service on Sat. I was able to spend some time with my friends guests and I could see right away how effectively they had already been ministered to. My friends had so vividly showed these people the love of God that as the Spirit gave the increase, all they could say is I need Jesus to be the center of my life. They had seen God's saving power lived out in the lives of those who were sent to minister to them. Although they needed to hear the word of God to understand, it was much more powerful that they had already seen the word of God as it had become flesh and was dwelling among them. We will never be Jesus or take on his deity, but as we love and live like him, we become a tangible means for people to see the power of God at work. As I observed the tear filled eyes of a couple who was trying to communicate what was going on in their Spirit, I found myself once again reminded of the beauty of watching light overtake darkness. Although this experience was dear to me, my point is more about you. Are you interacting with others in such a way that they are not feeling judged but rather loved? Are you the visible image of the love and Grace of God? The word says, if you are a Christian, you have the same spirit that Jesus does. We should be able to show the world around us what he is like. I am very familiar with the reality of failing to reach this standard, but I strive towards it. The couple in the story are real people who have real needs. They saw the love of Jesus through a man they worked with, were drawn into a relationship that established trust, and ultimately gave this same man the right to speak the words of life into their dead existence.
GO and make disciples. We are doing this and those we have given our lives in service to are now out making disciples themselves. To me it is even more exciting to see this couple being used for the Kingdom than it is to be used. Hard to explain, but it is like getting a glimpse of what the Kingdom is about.
In service of the King,
Todd Pierce
