Hello again family, It has been some time since I have written and I am grateful that I don't have to give an excuse. As many of you already know, PBR bull fighter Greg Crabtree was killed in a tractor accident a few days ago. I have gone back and forth on if I should go to the funeral or not but it sounds like the service is covered and I would honor Greg better by placing the same importance on my family as he did. Last week in Connecticut I was visiting with Greg and noticed some of his kids toys in his locker. I asked him what they were all about and he said that he brought them to help him focus on his family while he was away. Greg was a man that perfected this thing we call love greater than any other man I have known. While many men talk of their love for another, Greg proved it. He didn't come to Bible study or church regular, and he was some times course in his vocabulary but he learned to love. His hero was his child who was restricted to a wheelchair and his wife for her commitment to him. I loved to watch him during the national anthem, as he would always close his eyes and sing his heart out every time it was sung. I watched him cry one time when a bull rider got hurt and he thought he could have done a better job protecting him. For Greg, fighting bulls was much more than a job or a way to become famous, it was a way to show real love in motion. He told me that he had placed his trust in Jesus after I made a feeble attempt to see where he was with the Lord. A few nights before I had a dream about Greg and it bothered me a great deal. The dream began with me driving up to an arena and a woman I know who is very sensitive to the Spirit was saying over and over to listen close. The next scene showed Greg hung up to a bull and no one would step in and help. I finally ran to his rescue but could not believe that after spending his life trying to save others lives, there was no one to save him. It was scary and I didn't know how to respond to it but the very next day, Greg got hurt while trying to protect a bull rider. After the event I walked outside to make the two block walk to the hotel when I ran into Greg limping along trying to carry his gear bag. I took it from him and insisted on carrying it for him, it was there that we really began to talk beyond the casual. I tell this story to first honor Greg by telling what kind of man he was, and secondly to encourage each of you to ask God for dreams, as I do, and listen close to how the Lord may lead you. He still speak in a lot of ways and he is still using people like you and me to reach his people. Pray for his family! The pierce family is doing wonderful and enjoying some time together. I will write again soon. Thank you for your commitment to Jesus and your faithfulness to my family and me. In the service of the King, Todd
