It has been an overwhelming adventure over the past eight years of serving our Father together with all of you.  Although Riding High Ministries has seemed like it was mostly about my own personal efforts and could have just as easily been called Todd Pierce or Cody Custer ministries,  that is not the case.  What we have had the privilege of enjoying is what I believe is called a Kingdom ministry.  Let me explain.  As a ministry we have placed the highest value on individuals commitment to Jesus that is based on The truth of his word and lives that are exhibiting his priorities.  Out of those individual commitments we have accepted our Father instruction to make our relationships with each other very real and close.  We have allowed for complete openness about personal struggles and victories.  We have grieved with those who are grieving and rejoiced with those who rejoice.  We have insisted on complete honesty and accountability and because of this intimacy we have experienced among each other, we have seen discipleship happen.  All of this has happened because of the efforts of dozens of people who have chose to lay their personal agenda aside and allow their time, talents and resources to be used for building up other people.  I want to thank you for your role in this effort.  We are not yet perfected but we are doing well.
As we continue to keep our focus on staying close to Jesus, we have experienced a steady stream of increased opportunity.  Our admitted struggle with all of this is maintaining a Spirit Filled life that is overflowing with love, joy, peace, patients, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  The temptation has always been to allow the business of ministry to become the focus and in the end, be found empty because we have let the work be our God and not Jesus.  The struggle remains.  You may be wondering why I am bringing all this up now, so here it is.  This weekend I will be a small part of a huge effort to reach thousands with the good news of Jesus.  There have been hundreds of volunteers working for over a year to lay the groundwork and prepare the local churches to take all these people in and continue to disciple them.  What I get to be a part of is going to be about as big as ministry gets.  What I am excited to see is how ministries can have so many people doing so many things and have each of those people do it as their act of worship to our Father.  I have always been skeptical of big ministries but the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has blown most of my criticisms away.  Although I have been working with the BGEA for over a year now, this will be the first time I get to see a massive outreach.  I am excited for a lot of reasons but none more than seeing thousands place their trust in Jesus and give God access to their lives.  Secondly, I want all of us to celebrate the reality that Jesus trust's us as a ministry.  He has entrusted so much influence to us and it is the greatest honor we can experience.  Our names are written in the Book of Life and now we get to see our Father work through us.  You have all done so well and I am proud to continue to labor along side of you.  Please consider what your role is in this ministry and do it whole heartedly.  WE NEED YOU!

In service of the King of Kings,
Todd and Leslie
