This last weekend gave us another testimony of the truth in Philippians that, He that began a good work in you is faithful to complete it. About eight year ago, after I had just arrived at the rodeo arena in Austin, TX, I saw a young man carrying his riggin bag towards the building. I said hello and asked his name. He introduced himself and I immediately remembered someone had told me to talk to him about a discipleship program we were going to be doing. He looked at me like I was crazy and I knew immediately that he didn't have a clue about what I was talking about. As we continued to talk, I asked him if he was a Christian and he said he didn't know. As we stood there in the parking lot he prayed to receive Jesus as his savior. Throughout the rodeo I kept trying to remember who had told me to talk to him, but could not. Latter that evening I was praying about him and I realized that the person who had told me to talk to him was in a dream. The next day, I called a friend of mine who lives in this young mans area and he said that he and this young mans brother had been praying for him that very night I had the dream. Well, over the years he has gone through incredible suffering and turmoil yet has never quit believing. This past weekend he was in Billings and on Sunday, me and one of his dearest friends, wadded out into the icy waters of the Yellowstone river and baptized him in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. What a day!
