Aloha!

Aloha!  We are home safe and sound.  Our first five days in Hawaii were filled with snorkeling, surfing, boat rides, sand castles, fish spearing, great barbecue dinners and what I would describe as our young families celebration of life.  Thanks to some great friends, we had a beautiful condo, perfect beach, nice jeep to drive around, and all the free stuff we could cram in our 16 hour days.  Then our Father showed us what has been considered one of the greatest tropical storms the islanders have ever seen.  This caused power lines and trees to be down all over the place, roads closed due to mud slides, people stranded and the water treatment plants overflowed causing the beaches to be closed for about a week.  So, we watched cartoons till we wanted to puke and our beautiful condo became a very small place.  We did continue to venture out when we could as we hit some of the local shops and drove into the hills to see some waterfalls (little larger than usual).  We would love to go back when we build back up our sky miles again, it is truly a wonderful place.  It's really nice to be home!
