Albuquerque, NM provided us with another opportunity to spread the good news of Jesus to the fans of the PBR. This is the primary work the Lord has us doing as a ministry right now and it is an honor to be a part of it. But another dimension of what the Lord is doing through us has begun to be more and more evident.
Each week we spend a substantial amount of time equipping the Saints for the work of the ministry.   What I mean by this is I am purposely nurturing relationships with the men God has placed before me as I instruct, correct and encourage them. What is now happening more and more is to hear stories about how these men have gone out into their own market place and homes and done the same thing. These men have caught hold of the truth that God is into forming you into his image so he can reach the people around you wherever you’re at. These men have quit asking “Lord what do you want from me” and now proclaim “Lord, all I have is yours, use me!” It might seem subtle or maybe even a play on words but when it becomes a condition of the heart, it is powerful. Our God is a consuming fire and he burns away our attraction to the earthly and makes us those who are heavenly. When you care more about loving God and loving people than pursuing the things of this world (career, life mate, toys, fame, etc.) you can’t help but bear the kind of fruit that lasts. You can’t help but reach out to those closest to you and loving them in ways that truly become supernatural. One man I have given my life to has now caught the vision of how God can use him and a trucking company is being changed because of it. He hasn’t gone out and tried to make converts, he has gone out to present himself a living sacrifice. He has given his time, his money, his attention, his prayers, his shoulder to cry on and his committed service to a company, and he has done it all in the name of Jesus. Meaning he has done it with the supernatural authority of Jesus. He is more than a good guy that does good things, he is one who is loving people and because of his sincere love for them he is now in a place to pray with them and give an answer for why he is who he is. See, the job is just a job. He hauls water to oil rigs. What heavenly good is that? None!  Unless those doing it are carrying around within them the risen Lord and the power of his Spirit. Now, it is a meeting place, a place for people to congregate, a social group, a ministry. The oil field has become the mission field because God sent one of his Son’s to win a people back to himself. How about you? Do you have a job and a schedule or do you have a ministry? God’s will for you is you. The authentic, organic, Spirit filled you. The you that is yielded to his authority and chosen to become the recipient of his love.

In the service of this Loving King,
Todd and Leslie
